Some of the techniques that will be taught include: •What the witness should and should not review;•How to control the witness;•How to pin down the evasive witness, elicit admissions and lock in testimony;•How to discover and authenticate documents for use at trial;•What objections may properly be asserted;•What to do when your witness volunteers information;•When to prevent a witness from answering;•How to cut your losses from unexpectedly damaging testimony;•How to use depositions at trial to impeach witnesses, introduce testimony of an absent witness and put exhibits into evidence.
